The quick version? I’m brown. And I’m gay. Living in Pakistan.

You’d think those things would be minimal parts of my identity, but you’d be wrong. In a lot of ways, being queer and cafe au lait has determined the course of my life–to date–substantially. Almost completely, in fact.  Which is in retrospect a little disturbing, but I’ve learned to live with it.

You probably will too.  At least so I hope.
